The Oak Hills Athletic Boosters play a major role in the success of the Oak Hills After Prom. This year we need volunteers to help with the event and would like to extend this invitation out to anyone interested in participating in the area the Athletic Boosters sponsor. It is the most fun you’ll ever have with five hundred students in the middle of the night….

Saturday, May 19th at 10:30 – sign in time. (Mandatory volunteer meeting at 11pm in the auditorium)
Sunday, May 20th – be in your area and ready for this kids to start coming in !!!!
Sunday, May 20th – 4:30-5:30 – clean up your area (this is the responsibility of each area to break down your area – we again do not have the man power to do this for you)
Sunday, May 20th – Go home and rest and know you have done a great job for our kids!!!

The Oak Hills Athletic Booster meeting scheduled for this Monday, April 9th has been cancelled due to a special meeting of the Board of Education for the Oak Hills Local School District.

Oak Hills Highlander Athletic Programs are eligible to win a $30,000 storage facility. The contest runs until May 1 and people can vote up to 10 times each day.

The sign up dates for Oak Hills Little Highlander Football are February 29th at Rapid Run Middle school from 5-8pm. There will be additional sign-up dates on March 3rd and April 28th at Oak Hills High School from 10am-2pm.

Please join the Oak Hills Athletic Boosters at our next monthly meeting which will take place on Monday, 2/13/12 at 7pm. The meeting location is the large group (conference) room at Rapid Run Middle School. Come out and support your Highlander student-athletes!

The Oak Hills Athletic Boosters would like to sincerely thank all of you that attended this year’s Sports Stag! We would also like to thank Ken Anderson as the guest speaker along with his many former teammates and other dignitaries that were in attendance. The Boosters would also like to thank Booster President-Mike Hilton, Stag Chairperson Mark Murphy, Athletic Director-Jan Wilking, Bev Keeton, Becky and Mike Schwalle, Bill and Nancy Renken, Treasurer-Jim Shea and the other many volunteers and committee members that provided their financial support, energy and time to make this a very special event. Once again, the Oak Hills Sports Stag has set a very high bar and we look forward to next year’s event.

Pending school board approval, Dan Scholz has been tapped to lead the Oak Hills Highlanders for the 2012 season. Scholz, a two-time Coach of the Year, has spent the past five seasons at New Richmond. With a career record of 37-14, Scholz turned around the struggling program at New Richmond by instilling his highly disciplined style of play on both sides of the ball. Prior to his tenure at New Richmond, Coach Scholz spent seven seasons at Colerain High School as the Special Teams Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning Coach. Coach Scholz also has coached at Dublin Scioto and Rocker River High School.

Join the Oak Hills Athletic Boosters on Thursday night at 6pm at the Meadows to meet Coach Scholz and hear about his plans for the Oak Hills football program. All high school, middle school and youth player and parents are welcome.

The Oak Hills Athletic Boosters are proud to announce the 2012 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees: Jackie Cornelius Bedel ‘01, Dave Burke ‘90, Danielle Dietrich Dabbs ‘02, Ken Hauck ‘72, Don Ruehl ’84 and Mike Weadick ‘77. The new members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on January 26, 2012 with a celebratory dinner at the Meadows. Event tickets cost $25 and are available by calling 513-467-7106. The Hall of Famers will be presented to the Oak Hills community on January 27, 2012 at the Oak Hills boys basketball game vs. Middletown. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $6 adults and $4 students.
